“So off-beat she’s back on again”
I was born in Houston, Texas, and I grew up in Hope, NJ. I'm not kidding; that's a real place. My parents, Lynn and Mark Hewitt, are both architects. When I was a child, they did their best to pass on their legacy to me, but I wasn't a big fan. I must have been dragged to more historic sites than a middle school teacher chaperoning field trips. Fast forward to the age of 10, when I saw my friend Valerie perform in a production of Annie. That's when I got my first taste of the theatre. Soon after that, I auditioned and was cast in a production of Oliver, where I played an orphan and a pickpocket, because, hey, you have to start somewhere. From that point on I was hooked, and I knew that acting was the only thing that I ever wanted to do for a living... Ok maybe not the only thing; there was a point where I dreamed of becoming a professional basketball player, but let’s face it - that wasn't my true calling. I continued doing theater all through grade school and high school. I majored in Theatre Arts at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ, which is where I got my first real film role.
At that point, I decided I wanted to broaden my horizons and start doing more on camera work, so I transferred to The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. While I was there, I studied Meisner, movement, voice, on camera technique, commercial acting, improv, and sitcom technique. And the rest is history as they say. Since my graduation from NYCDA, I have been busy making a living as an actor, comedian, and writer. I completed the improve program at The Upright Citizen’s Brigade and The People’s Improv Theater. I wrote my own web series that I plan to produce and star in. In the summer of 2018, I performed in The Sterling Renaissance Festival as Lady Frances Walsingham, where I became certified in interactive theater. I was on a the PIT house improv teams Curmudgeon and Deluxe Edition in 2019. I performed in the New York Renaissance Faire as the Midwife looking to become a “full wife”, Constance Kidwelly. I've got the whole quirky-girl-next-door thing going on, so I've got the ability to play dramatic and comedic roles. I am interested in acting in theatre, commercials, films, and tv. Most recently I booked a co-star role on Girls5Eva season 2, and my episode of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel just dropped on Amazon on February 25th. I’m looking to continue my success with an awesome team of reps. I'm currently seeking representation in all areas. Feel free to visit my contact page and send me a message, and I'd be happy to let you know more.
